Introduction to Latex: Setup

Requirements

• A working installation of LaTeX
• (Optional) A LaTeX text editor such as TeXstudio.

Or

• An account with Overleaf. This works entirely through your web browser and requires no other software is installed.

Windows

• An installation of MikTex
• (Optional) TeXStudio

macOS

• Mac users download MacTeX
• (Optional) TeXStudio

Linux (Ubuntu)

• Linux users install the package texlive using your package manager
• Install TeXstudio from your package manager or from TeXStudio
